“In the midst of this Feast, O Savior, give Thou my thirsty soul to drink of the waters of true worship; for Thou didst call out to all, saying: Whosoever is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Wherefore, O Christ our God, Fountain of life, glory to Thee.” Troparia for Mid-Pentecost
Dear beloved members of our God protected parish of St. George,
Christ is Risen.
We are mid way to Pentecost. The Church starts changing her focus to Pentecost and the descend of the Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives as Christians is very important. Without the Holy Spirit, we can not call God “Abba, Father”. May the Spirit of God sanctify our souls and bodies, and may the Holy Spirit we received in baptism continue to work in our lives.
Next week:
- Tuesday night we will have the Stewardship seminar at 7:30 PM. To join the seminar go to Zoom. Zoom details will be provided before the meeting.
- Wednesday Vespers for St. Constantine and Helen at 7 PM.
- Friday ladies Zoom meeting at 7 PM. Zoom details will be provided before the meeting.
After Pentecost we will start administering baptisms again following the government rules for distancing. Father is also available to bless homes, and to hear your confession.
You can pray with us on Facebook or on our website.
We are blessed with so many loving, and dedicated people in our community. Some men have been cleaning, painting, and fixing things around our church. Such a dedication and commitment to our community is a sign to all of us of the sacrifices of these gentlemen. Thank you for your service.
A very big thank you to those who have been supporting our family of St. George through their financial sacrificial donations. Our Lord praised the widowed woman who put all she had in the temple treasury. When we give fully without reservation and from our needs, the blessing is 100 folds back to us. “God loves a cheerful giver” says the Scripture. You can mail in your donation, or email it to [email protected]
Let us prepare our souls to renew the Holy Spirit in us. I am blessed to be your Priest, I ask you to keep praying for me. Your Church is here for you. I am here for you. Many individuals are working hard behind the scene to make sure we have good transmission of our services, that our church remains clean, and that our finances are in order. Thank you to all of you.
Truly He is Risen.
